January 2010 - MIA   ·  5 February 2010

What the? February already? I’m sure I saw January around here somewhere but where did it go? Guess I’ll have declare January “missing in action”.

Right now I’m wondering if 2010 is going to turn into another one of those years. Just when I feel life is moving plenty fast enough, someone plants their foot on the accelerator pedal and whoosh! Another few months have passed by in a blink…

I’m not a chronic blogger. When things go quiet here it usually means I am busily working on things in the background. So yes, things have been quiet but I’ve got lots of great stuff in the pipeline that’s coming up soon.

Two videos that I was working on recently with Nikon Professional Services are due for release soon – I’ve seen the first edits and these are not to be missed! Other things I’ve been working on are several photo shoots, some for clients, some more personal and/or because I think the climbing community around here will be interested in them.

And the main project, which I stared working on in earnest just after Christmas, is a fully updated and slightly expanded Blue Mountains Climbing guidebook. We have a great team working on this – a top designer and many very hard working contributors. The support from the local climbing community has been simply awesome. I hope the book does justice to the brilliance of the climbing to be enjoyed here in the five-star Blue Mountains, and in some way reflects the positive vibe found amongst the local climbers here. The book will be at the printers in a few weeks and should be available in April.

That’s just the start for 2010.

Bring it on!
