This week I have some new pics for you from my recent trip up to SE Queensland. I had two weeks up there, mostly working on the new guidebook, shooting some pics, and even managed to scrape my carcass up a few climbs. I love Queensland and always have a great time up there; not just because we usually go in winter and escape the Blue Mountains winter blues for a bit, but because the climbing is good, I get to catch up with old friends — and the scene is awesome! Massive thanks to everyone who helped out along the way and made it a truly great trip: really appreciate all the dosses (can’t complain about a yacht eh; doesn’t get much better!), the help with pics and all the fantastic help we’re getting with the guidebook — I’ll be sure to make it the best that I can.

There are a lot more pics to come later but today’s are from three crags: Mt Ninderry, Pages Pinnacle and Finders Peak. Ninderry and Pages are new areas that we are putting in the new edition of the guidebook. Yep, due to popular demand we are devoting pages to Pages (excuse the pun but yeah I did listen, checked it out, liked it, and everyone was so keen; so in it goes). The other area, Flinder’s, we’ll leave for a bit to ensure the access situation has fully settled down. All great areas. So much good climbing in Queensland!

OK, in case you missed last weeks announcements:

  • Info on the climbing trip (climbing clinic on steroids) Monique and I are hosting for World Expeditions in Paynes Ford, New Zealand, next year is here. Come and have fun and improve your climbing as well!
  • A couple of spaces remain in the current series of training clinics that Monique is running. Info here.
  • The Women’s Adventure Film Tour launches in the Blue Mountains this Saturday and the first session there has sold out so they have added a second screening. It then tours Oz. All info here.
  • Last weeks free desktop image (and some old ones) are available here.

Thanks for reading. More soon!
