On the Rocks tour

DSC_9868-Edit

Anna Davey from WA, Rampaging Roy (20) at Pindari.

In this newsletter I have a mish-mash of photos for you which were taken over the last few months in the Blue Mountains; enjoy!

But gosh, where did January go? It was too hot or more often too wet to be a good month for climbing, but that’s ok, because we (Monique Forestier and I) were busy preparing for our “On the Rocks” speaking tour which is ON NOW! Whoot!!! Many thanks to everyone who came along to the Brisbane show last week, it was a great night with lots of laughs. I’m writing this newsletter from our hotel room in Perth (sheltering from the 42C heat outside!) where we are presenting tonight. Then it’s on to Melbourne for a show there tomorrow. We are psyched! Many thanks to World Expeditions for hosting this. Here are all the dates and links to where to get tickets:

Perth (Tuesday, 9th Feb): tickets and info
Melbourne (Wednesday, 10th Feb): tickets and info
Canberra (Tuesday, 16th Feb): tickets and info
Newcastle (Wednesday, 17th Feb): tickets and info
Sydney (Thursday, 18th Feb): tickets and info
My apologies to Adelaide and Hobart, hopefully next time.

Whilst working on the On the Rocks show I’ve enjoyed brushing up some video editing skills; I’m psyched to do more there. This year is already looking crammed with lots of work projects planned and several exciting trips coming up (not least the Sicily trip we are hosting for World Expeditions in October). So stay tuned! I’ll try to pump these newsletters more often but also make sure you’re following me on Instagram and Facebook, and Monique on Instagram too — her climbing coaching has been going gun-busters and more clinics are coming up…

What else? Well we’ve been getting some press… Read my “On the Couch” interview with World Expeditions –> here, or listen to Monique and I being interviewed by ABC Brisbane Radio Evenings show with David Curnow below…

One (main) reason I started my climbing photography business 21 years ago was as a way of sharing my passion for climbing, so I’m grateful for these opportunities to stand up and talk about it. It’s kinda cool to “represent”. And so I’m super psyched to be working with my amazing wife, Monique Forestier, to present our On the Rocks show. Hope you can make it!

Oh dawng! Just realised that this “mish-mash” of photos is all of women. Ain’t that cool! I think so.

More soon.
