At long last I am delighted to present an image from a visit to the Grampians back in June. The climbers are Ashlee Hendy (leading) and Elizabeth Chong (belaying) on pitch two of The Man Who Sold the World (23, 25), at crag. Clean Cuts is a relatively new crag near Eureka Wall in the southern Grampians, Victoria, Australia.
I’d been dreaming about this shot for a few years but, besides just getting to the Grampians, which is always a pleasure, it needed several things to all come together. Massive shout out to Ashlee and Elizabeth who were total legends on the day and are impressive climbers. I was stoked with the resulting image and it found its way straight to the cover of the World Climbing Calendar 2018.
