Damian Jovanovic attempting pitch seven of The Bridge to Total Freedom, a new mega route in #Bungonia Gorge! I gave the full scoop in my email newsletter yesterday (www.onsight.com.au/subscribe) but in case you missed that… on the weekend Damian and crew completed their epic route which is a fully independent line tackling the entire South Wall of the Gorge and finishing up through the headwall in a stunning position and on some of the most gorgeous rock in the Gorge. The grades of the seven individual pitches log in at 22, 23, 19, 22, 23, 23 and 26. Phew!
Massive shout to Damo and Oliver Story who did most of the heavy lifting on this one, but also Chris Linge, Carl Godfrey and Nick Herrald who helped with the work — not only bolting the thing but cleaning it all the way so that the route might be more enjoyable for others to repeat. While they were at it they also rebolted Jumpmaster (just to the left) and gave it four new pitches to make that a fully independent line now too. Awesome job guys!
