#Repost with @Repostlyapp @moniqueforestier I first became aware of this route, Tom et je Ris (8b+), back in 2007 when we were in Madagascar climbing at the Tsaranoro Massif. We got talking with Toni Lamprecht and the conversation lead to climbing the “King Lines” of the world. He told us about the route Tom et je Ris situated high up in the Verdon Gorge in France. I’d never been to the Verdon but I knew of its “reputation”. Toni talked with such passion and enthusiasm, and his eyes twinkled with exhilaration, that I became hooked. I knew that one day I would hunt this gem down and attempt to climb it. I waited till 2009 to scope it out, but unfortunately got rained off. I returned in 2012 and succeeded to climb Tom et je Ris, the most impressive rock climb that I have ever climbed to date.
