Cherry Baylosis leading with Monique Forestier belaying on pitch six of The Regular Route (23, 25, 24, 21, 24, 22, 23), at Perrys Lookdown in the Blue Mountains.
This is one of my favourite shots taken this year for the new Blue Mountains guidebook. A unique route in a unique position deserved some effort to find a good angle, though this still has potential and remains a bit of a work-in-progress for me.
If you’re after some photo tips, Rock and Ice Magazine recently republished a little article here, it’s old but not much has changed.
And, by the way, if you’re ever wondering if your guidebook has the latest information re access or anything important, there’s just one web address you need to check: www.onsight.com.au/bluemtns. It’s mentioned in the guidebook in several places but it never hurts to get a reminder.
Thanks to Cherry and Monique for providing the psyche for this one and reminding us what it’s all about. And thanks to @lasportivaaustralia @lasportivagram @sterlingrope and @prana for their support.
Onwards and upwards.
